Gift Card Frequently Asked Questions

Where can I purchase a Gift Card?
Gift Cards can be purchased at Mall Services during regular Mall hours.  Mall Services is located in the International Food Court next to the Registry of Motor Vehicles.  Gift Cards are available in any denomination from $20 to $250.  Gift Cards can be purchased using cash, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express.

Large business and non-profit Gift Card orders can be processed through the management office.  Large orders may take up to 1 business day to complete.  Business orders may be made with a company check or credit card.  Please contact the Management Office 1-413-543-8000 for an order form.

Where can I use my Gift Card?
Gift Cards are accepted at any Eastfield Mall retailer where Discover is welcomed.

How do I find the available balance on my Gift Card?
You can confirm your balance at any time online or by calling 1-800-798-4099.  You may also check your balance at Mall Services, located in the International Food Court, and at the balance checker machine located outside of Macy’s near Aeropostale and American Eagle.  It is very important to know your balance and tell the retailer before they process your transaction because a gift card that is run for an amount that exceeds the card balance will be declined.
  
Can the Gift Card be combined with other forms of payment?
Yes. If the cardholder wishes to use the Gift Card to purchase an item for more than the Gift Card balance, depending on the merchant's processing abilities, the other form of payment must be processed first, and then the gift card used to pay the remaining balance.
  
How do I return something purchased with my Gift Card?
Keep your purchase receipt in case you wish to make a return.  If you return merchandise back onto your gift card, funds will not be available for 3-5 business days.  A store credit will give you immediate use of your funds.  Return policies vary at every store. Please inquire about the return or exchange policy when making your purchase.

What if my Gift Card is lost or stolen?
Keep track of your gift card as you would cash.  Gift Cards cannot be replaced if they are lost, stolen or destroyed.

Does my Gift Card expire?
The Gift Card has a "Valid Thru" date on the front of the Gift Card. The Gift Card is not valid after the last day of the month listed but the funds do not expire.  Gift cards may be reissued at Customer Service for the remaining available funds; only when the “Valid Thru” date is met.  You may redeem your gift card for the remaining funds after the Valid Thru date by sending a signed, written request and your Card , by certified mail, to: MidAmerica Gift Certificate Company, P.O. Box 1057, Louisville, KY 40201.  Processing requires 6-8 weeks. 

Are there any service fees?
Eastfield Mall Gift Cards do not have service fees attached at the time of purchase.  An Account Maintenance Fee of $2.50 will be deducted from the card balance each month beginning the 13th month after issuance of the card.

Balance Inquiry Fee: You may obtain your balance online, at Mall Services, or at the Gift Card balance checker machine located outside of Macy’s at no charge.  The first balance or transaction history inquiry via telephone 1-800-798-4099 each calendar month is free.  Subsequent telephone inquiries in the same calendar month are $ .25 per inquiry.
